Original music has the power to connect people in ways conversation never can.
Why I Created The Showcase
I believe great music shouldn’t be limited by geography. Some of the most vibrant communities are also the ones that have the fewest opportunities to experience live original music, simply because they’re smaller or further from the larger centres.
Having grown up in small rural communities myself, I understand the value of a local hall or community venue. They’re more than just buildings—they’re places where people gather, connect, celebrate and create lasting memories. By bringing original music and the arts into these spaces, my hope is to help breathe new life into these venues while giving local communities access to inspiring live performances.
The Showcase exists to champion original artists and songwriters, creating opportunities for emerging and established musicians to share their own stories and music with new audiences. Original music deserves to be heard, and audiences deserve the chance to discover the incredible talent that exists within our own communities.
For me, The Showcase is also the beginning of a personal journey. After many years performing as a professional musician, mostly playing the music of others, I’m excited to finally step forward and share my own original songs in a concert setting. Alongside the artists I invite to perform, I’ll be doing what The Showcase is all about—taking that leap, telling stories through music, and helping create memorable evenings that bring people together.
If The Showcase leaves audiences inspired, introduces them to a new favourite artist, and helps strengthen the communities it visits, then it will have achieved exactly what it set out to do.

Every community deserves to experience the magic of live original music.
